Poker Tables
Every time that I sit down at a poker table my pulse starts to race. I know that this is probably a bad sign and that I must keep an eye on how often I play and what I am willing to place on the table but at the same time it sure is fun. Just being at the poker table can be an alluring experience and for me to be there at the table and not play is almost impossible. I have some friends that tell me I am unreasonable in my enjoyment of the game and they tell me that poker really is just a game of chance but I beg to differ. While it is true that there isn’t too much strategizing that one can do as far as what cards are dealt or held in your hand there is much that goes into playing a good game of poker and winning. Some poker players that I know just never seem to lose while others rarely win. Overall I would have to say that the amount of poker one plays has a lot to do with their ability to win. If you play the game with frequency and are relatively smart it is just logical that you will improve your chances of winning. Also playing against good players helps to teach you the tricks that can only be learnt by watching a master at work. One thing that is very important in my opinion is that you should never sit at the poker table unless you really intend on playing and playing till the end. Poker isn’t a game that lasts for one hand but rather till the last hand has been dealt and the last chips played.
