Pacific Poker

To be honest this is where I started, yes Pacific Poker is still one of the biggest Online Poker sites. And although I don’t use it too much any more I still look back at it as part of my first poker steps. I wont say I didn’t like it; since it had really good features and from what I understand it still has, however after awhile you feel like you want to take the training wheels of your Little Tikes bike and jump on a crouch rocket even though you know you might not be ready for it. Don’t take me wrong I don’t mean that it’s only for beginners, but I guess I just took Pacific Poker as my spring board to higher leagues. I know a lot of friends which liked it so much they just stuck to it and never looked anywhere else.

I have to admit one of the big advantages it has a demo mode where you can play for hours without having to use any real money, which is great when getting started, but to be honest after a couple of weeks you get bored of that mode, I mean why sweat for several hours and give it your best at one of these tournaments when there really is no gain at the end, after awhile it turns into a drag. With Pacific Poker you can of course play with real money, and you’re dying to after going through the demo stage, its of course a good way to practice.

Once you get in for the money playing too aggressive is something you will probably jump into since you were kind of used to the demo play.
Chatting with other players is also a plus here, its not always something to look forward to since there are sometimes players with not the best comments to add after a well won hand. But it’s also nice because you can begin building friendship with people on the other side of the planet with the same tastes as you have: like good old poker. They also guarantee an average 4000 continuous players, so you always have someone to play with. They also have 10-25 cent tournaments, with $100 guaranteed pot, so when starting up or when you’re doing low on cash this is a great way of catching up.
