Online Poker

A friend of mine that likes to play online poker was telling me about his experiences both good and bad. To start with this guy is a natural poker player and I have seen him do well almost every time he sits down to play. Whether he is playing online poker or sitting at a real table with friends this guy just has an ability to play his cards and the table in a way that almost amazes me. He isn’t the most gregarious of guys but he sure knows how to read people and the table. Thankfully he isn’t one of those friends you play poker with, and about whom you are always wondering if they are cheating. I have had friends like that but they were no fun to play with as you could never really relax and enjoy the game because you always had this sneaking suspicion that they weren’t really on the up and up. This is one of the great advantages of online poker, because you can rest assured that no one is cheating or doing anything to unfairly improve their chances of winning. Well my friend the online poker player told me that he sometimes spends 4 to 5 hours a day playing the game and that he recently won a good sized pot. Of course when people tell me about their poker winnings I always wonder how much they lost before they won but I know for a fact that this guy has incredible luck whether playing online poker or the real life version. He told me that while he prefers real life poker its simpler to play online and he can play whenever he wants and has time as opposed to having to go to a casino or trying to get a group of friends together for a game.
